Dance – 5Rhythms® Waves

No steps to learn, the practice is simple …

The fastest way to quiet the mind is to put your whole self into motion. The movement practice of the 5Rhythms® invites you to follow your feet and to listen to the wisdom of your body.

In this class you will explore the mother language of your body, which is rhythm. The dance gives you an opportunity to dive deeply into your embodied self, connecting you to your essence and the magic of the present moment. The 5Rhythms® movement practice offers us maps to explore our embodied Self. We learn to cultivate inner body awareness and pay attention to physical sensations.

With no steps to learn, the practice itself is simple, and it has the power to catalyze deep healing and creative expression.  All we need to do is show up, tune in and move what is alive in us. Every body is welcome.

An exhilarating and liberating approach to the exploration of improvised movement that is authentic, inspired and catalytic. It is a workout for body and soul, a moving meditation, and a fun spiritual practice designed to release the dancer that lives in every body, regardless of age, experience or condition.

‘Dancing the 5Rhythms is about waking up to your most essential nature, stretching your intuition and imagination as surely as your body. It’s a formless form, one that expands your range of physical and emotional expression and introduces you to forgotten parts of your self.’
